Mexico: Riviera Maya Must-See Beaches

Playa Paraiso - Tulum

Heaven. On. Earth. Our favourite beach of all time, ever. We love this beach not only because this is where we first date but also because it’s gorgeous and amazingly beautiful. Thin white sand, palm trees landscape and infinite turquoise water, you just can’t go in the Tulum’s Mayan Ruins without passing by there.

Well Playacar… Our second home while we were living in Playa del Carmen. This beach was like our backyard, every day or at least every day off we were chilling over there. Lovely and calm beach in a residential area, Playacar is for us, the best beach in Playa del Carmen. Every afternoon, Señora Juanita do a round, selling her delicious mangos and fresh coconuts, making the day even better!

Zona Hotelera - Cancun

Cancun beach in the hotel area of the city is one of the must see beaches in the Riviera Maya. Maybe it’s a little crowdie in high season but it’s definitely worth going there. Located between hotels, bars, casinos and shopping mall, this beach has a beautiful turquoise water when you can enjoy your day with a mojito in your hand and some chill out music coming from the hotel pools.

Akumal has marvelous beaches and lovely white sand. Before entering this gorgeous place, make sure to have a snorkel equipment so you can enjoy swimming with turtles, rays and different kind of color fishes, which make of this beach one of the most funny and entertain to go to.

Puerto Morelos

Puerto Morelos is located between Cancun and Playa del Carmen and is well known for its calm and peaceful atmosphere. The place-to-be if you want to avoid the abundance of tourists and have a peaceful afternoon snorkeling.
