I officially headed back to Belgium yesterday and I'll be here for the next two weeks before going back to another destination.. Stay updated! The weather here is nothing else that cold and cloudy but I have to say, countryside's fresh air is definitely what you need after six months in Mexico!
It's been a long week that I haven't post anything on the blog and that I haven't been really active on social media either. I wanted to enjoy as much as I could my last week in the Riviera Maya before going home. Today I come to you to show you one of the last trips I have made over there, in Bacalar.
It's at approximately three hours from Playa del Carmen, in the south of Mexico at the border with Belize. Bacalar has this beautiful Laguna, which offers various shades of blue over 62 km long. The best when you get there is to go on a little boat (app. 12$ per person for 2:30 hours) and you jump from 90 meters deep Cenote to one meter hot clear water of a abandoned hotel. You could almost believe you're in Maldives with the little bungalows at every hotel and restaurant.
This place is heaven. I know I have said that for many other locations but this trip was definitely one of the most amazing I have done.
I hope you are all doing well.
