How to be Informally Formal

Hi guys. I’ve seen on many social media questions like “What should I wear on a job interview?” and I thought it would be nice to show my vision and version of the classic formal outfit I would wear for it.

First of all, I know that you can’t wear everything that you want when it comes to formal interview (and even more when it’s for the hotel industry), so this outfit is what I would wear for an interview, but of course it’s just an inspiration that you can decline in many different ways that you want.

So, I don’t really like to be in a suit when it comes to formal things… if you know me, I’m more casual than formal and I always try to play with colours or different pieces to “break” the too-classic way of the outfit.

This time I came for an all-black look - black is always a good idea - I chose basics pieces that all of us should have in our closet, which are a light top and black pants. To complete the look, I introduced a long blazer, classic but not that much, with taupe-grey low-boots and it totally breaks the oh-so-over-seen “black pencil skirt with unbending white shirt and high-heels” look. Thanks God. Looking like an auk was my nightmare at school (I did Hotel Management…). Adding some accessories such as a watch, some silver (or gold) necklace and bracelets give always a nice touch.

I hope you’ll like the look and that I could give a great inspiration to some of you!

With love,
